About us

The Women's Butterfly Project aims to empower mature women experiencing a change of circumstances affecting their income, relationships and career.

Supporting mature women experiencing change of circumstances affecting income, relationships and career.

The Women’s Butterfly Project aims to provide support to mature women experiencing a change in circumstances such as loss of income, relationship breakdown or loss of job that affect their financial, social, and emotional wellbeing.

Research reveals many mature-age women experience significant life changes and hardships that can place great stress on many aspects of life. This project's focus is on early intervention and preventing any harm or crisis such as homelessness before it can occur. We are committed to providing easy, discreet and free access to the many resources and latest information that is available to help women take control and make confident steps into the future. Butterflies and their symbolic meaning of growth and transformation are used to represent diverse types of women who experience major life changes.
